A heat sink soldering jig for microphone connectors
Soldering microphone connectors can be a difficult task - the pins are tiny, and once you get some of them soldered the clearances get pretty tight on the remaining pins. I made a combination heat sink and soldering jig out of a salvage microphone panel connector by soldering all of the pins on the back side to a piece of brazing rod. The brazing rod makes an excellent heat sink that can be clamped into a PanaVise® at any angle. (You DO have a PanaVise, don't you?)
