High Divide

High Divide is east of Smith River north of Crescent City. It is a good location and you can actually go on out further to the east. Personally I like the Point St George parking lot--about fifty feet above sea level-- west of Crescent City. It is about as far west as you can go in California. Open only during daylight hours but is only a few miles west of Crescent City on paved road. Good distance back from the hills so not really a take off angle problem on six. On 144 I have worked to Portland and down to Sacramento area. This has been with 150 watts and 12 elements. However mostly big gun stations. For 144 take a cw key !!!!!!
